Rates:

My fees vary per service offered. We can discuss your needs during our initial phone consultation. Generally speaking, my fees are on par with other psychologists in my area.  Keep in mind that psychologists are doctoral level psychoterapists with longer, more intensive training than master's level therapists and are thus reimbursed accordingly.  

 

Sessions can also be held via a Skype session if you are not available to attend in person. Thus, you do not need to be in Austin to have a session with me.

 

Insurance:


I am currently a network provider for United Healthcare and Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO health insurance plans. To utilize your insurance please make certain to contact your insurance company to ask about any needs for pre-authorization for treatment and information on your deductible, co-pays and coinsurance coverage. When you make your initial appointment with me, please have the following information available:
* Name of the primary insured on the plan
* Birthdate of primary insured as well as client (if different)
* Group number
* Member/Account number
* Contact number for the plan's Behavioral Health Services and/or general Customer Service

If you have another health isurance carrier besides United or BCBS, please note that services may be partially covered under you out-of-network benefits. If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, a receipt will be provided upon request with all of the necessary information needed for you to file for reimbursement from your insurance carrier. Please check your coverage carefully by asking your insurance representative the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • Do I need a pre-authorization to begin treatment?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • How much does my insurance pay for out-of-network services? (My fee minus amount paid by insurance = your cost)


 

 

 

Payment is due at the time of the appointment and is payable by cash, check or debit/credit (MC/Visa + small processing fee).

 

For those with United or BCBS, only your co-payment is due at the time of the appointment contigent that any necessary pre-authorizations have been obtained prior to the first appointment.  I will submit a claim directly to United/BCBS on your behalf for payment of the balance.  

 

For those who would like to utilize their out-of-network benefits with other insurance carriers, your payment is due in full to me at the time of your appointment, but I will provide you with a receipt and the necessary information needed to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement of the fee paid. 

 

 

 

 

 

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session at the next scheduled visit.  Exceptions are granted for medical illness, unless missed appointments become habitual.
